rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

How hard is it to just call the second one "institutionalized racism" so that there's no confusion as to what's being referred to? That way it makes it clear without diminishing the impact of minority-on-minority racism, which BTW is also a major issue that doesn't get a lot of attention.

My local school once had a display about racism in the USA, and it actually covered everything under the sun really well. It had stuff about the racism toward Irish immigrants (particularly in the early 20th century), racially motivated gang violence between blacks and Asians, all the stuff that happened with Native Americans (and continues to happen today)...it was pretty informative! And I was really impressed that they covered all sides of the issue and made it clear that it's about so much more than just the history of slavery in the US. That's important to talk about, too, but it's only one part of a huge issue.

tl;dr, but what I'm trying to say is, yes, I agree.
