Even though I disagree that Shadow lacks any depth in the games, I do think the replier overreacted way too hard. This is usually what causes a lot of problems in this fandom to begin with is people exploding all over someone for their opinion soooo...

However, I make no apologies for my stance on SEGA's writing standards, nor do I apologize for disliking a character (to which I am wholly entitled), and angrily accusing me of "WANTING TO BE COOL ON THE INTERNET!111" for no apparent reason other than to attack me for making you feel defensive, followed by a grocery list of baseless assumptions about what I have and haven't played doesn't make me want to reconsider my opinion. It makes me wonder why I continue to put up with anyone in this fandom.

The series does have its flaws, and the writing isn't great, but there's no reason to get up in arms like this. Come on, let's not fight anymore, okay?

I mean, I thought Shadow had the most depth in SA2 and 06. But the way he was handled in ShtH just made me sad. And Heroes was... well, he had no memories and was basically a free man so, I guess he was just... peppy?
