That's why I waited until I was sure. I didn't want to namedrop when it only looked verbatim like uninformed concerns I'd seen the person express, but when another was expressed as a result of ooc information on a plot that was ultimately decided against (specifically "Karkat<>Gamzee as outright abusive"), I knew it had to have been someone who actually knew about that dropped plot. This isn't really a blind assumption I'm making here.

It may have something to do with the fact that I never said any of those whatsoever, but you're still attributing that attitude to me. That comes off as a little grudgey!

You don't have to be that person to dislike the cast, and feel free to dislike us if that's what you really want to do! I'm pretty sure neither I nor my cast is god's gift to rp, and I'm open to receiving crit on where I fail and explaining what my interpretations stem from when asked. If you don't care enough to do that and just want to dislike us anyway, well, that's your prerogative. I'm pretty sure that not every anon who does, like you and the three others above you, is going to be the person named, just this one in particular and I have my reasons for believing that.

It doesn't necessarily even stem from a grudge, just very very differing interpretations which I simply don't agree with.

Their hope is like a pitiful nectar to feed on.

But yeah I feel you, I get embarrassed too and I loved Vesperia. It's been too long for them to take such an enormous risk like this. Maybe a year or so ago, nowadays we have more chance of Xillia.

ataraxion. There's a much bigger cast there, and the pace is a little faster, but it's also lots of fun and would welcome a Cersei. basically play her everywhere, pls, Cerseis are magical creatures. :c

He's crept his trainwreck way into my heart and I've read all the random stuff with him that I could get my hands on, but what specifics would anons recommend? I'm mostly looking for 616, but how crazy is Ultimates for him?

hey now, i've been nothing but receptive toward any issues anyone may have with my playing. i am not my castmates. i do not take responsibility for any reactions they may have or how they choose to handle a situation. if you hate my cast, that's ok. if you hate me, that's ok too. i'm not going to collapse into hysterical sobs because someone on the internet doesn't like me. i admit it was probably a mistake to comment here in the first place after all the trouble it seems to have stirred up, and i'm sorry if i've managed to offend anyone in the process of doing so.

i actually do intend to take what's been said here to heart, though, for the record- homestuck is a comedic canon, and karkat especially is a really funny and often ridiculous character, and if this many people feel the way i play is too grimdark and overdramatized, of course i'm going to step back and ease up on it. the same with any other issues people have with my characterization.

try to undercut your overthinking. for every three things you want to cram into a tag, cut at least one. remember that irl people will forget they said something, or that they wanted to say something, and you can always have them go and pick that line of the conversation back up if it gets dropped.

Excuse you, I've been really polite to you and the other anons and none of us have just said you're wrong. We (most of us at least) actually asked for your opinions on things and tried to get what your actual perspective on things was.

Yes, we stated our perceptions on our characterizations, that doesn't mean we aren't willing to listen to you or other anons. I've been waiting for a discussion on how Karkat <> Gamzee is abusive and OOC and I've yet to get one, if anything it sounds like you don't actually have a reason because you're not giving us one. You don't sound like you wanted to give most of us crit at all, because hey, you haven't actually given it to some of us. Do you know how to sound like you want to give crit? By actually giving it instead of indirectly discussing problems that may not even exist and we can't deal with at all if you don't actually talk to us about them and instead overreact about a hobby that's supposed to be fun and leave us here with nothing.

Yeah, we might disagree with you on certain points, God forbid, but just as none of us are God's gift to rp your advice might not be either. No one is perfect and that includes not only us but yourself as well.

I've taken critique before, I've changed my characterization based on it. Why? Because it was reasonable and anons bothered to give me it instead of assuming I'd take nothing they talked to me about. If you don't state what is actually OOC here of course we're not going to take your advice and again yeah we might disagree with you, but what do you have to lose by offering advice that we might disagree with? We don't know who any of you are, we can't hurt you, and we're obviously interested in listening to you since we're here.

If you don't give us advice our only option is to dismiss you as a wanker and not bother talking to you at all and playing exactly as we were unchanged. What do you want a chance to help us play better or just another opportunity to whine and try to make us all seem like we're a hivemind (we aren't) and try to make yourself seem reasonable when you're not? That won't work.

Just give the advice.

preferably on the medium to slow end of games, but alright with a fast one if backtagging is okay. castmates are nice but not needed.
