I'm a lone canon warrior at Holly Heights at the moment, but yeah, I think Asgard is it for now. A friend of mine said she might app at Luceti in the future.

A friend and I have two OCs that were designed to be homages to various mahou shoujo anime and so on, so I am looking for someone to commission icons/art from that draws in a distinct...anime-like fashion, I suppose. I know a lot of rad artists but their styles don't fit what I'm thinking of in this case, which is shoujo sparkly stuff.

If anyone could give me suggestions I would certainly appreciate it.

I used to be in a game where it was AU, but they'd have nightmares/dreams that the entire school shared where they explored their previous powers. I forget if something like that's done in any of the big games, because I haven't looked around, but I liked it.

Valentine has me curious, as does Kirei. Not sure if they're favorites, but definitely curious.

well

exsilium is a fairly slow game

until missions come up, which the mods have said will hopefully be up every two months, it has somewhat of a typical slice-of-life feel to it, whereas the missions usually involve fighting against NPC armies and the like, at which point the pace increases until the mission is over

no restrictions on powers, no losses upon entry, anything like that

they have a very small cast at the moment too, i think only eridan equius and sollux

Ah, then you're right about that. The upper limit of an ability is good by "ability to the extent of X", then. So it may include absolute zero, but it does not give any indication for how long she can maintain it or how big an object or person it's able to work on. For the other faeries and other lower ranking characters, extending their powers out of a vague "power over X" is stretching it past their capabilities.

I think another important point is to acknowledge that the character has weaknesses, as well as if character's power effects another character, it may not be 100% effective. For example, Yuyuko's power of basically ripping a soul out of a person wouldn't do much good against any of the god characters being gods (or eating gods, if you're feeling lenient) and probably Yukari because of that "Boundary of Life and Death" spell card. And of the canons where they state a character does not have a soul? Yuyuko would only have to rely on danmaku. Sakuya's power of stopping time won't be perfect either. True, she's powerful, but she's not that un-defeatable because of that power, where in any other case you would think that simply stopping time and going in for the kill would be the better strategy. Having some resistance to her time-stopping abilities should not be unacceptable for the player.

If you've got enough for Shen, you've got enough for Haedrig. And if you've got enough for them you've definitely got enough for Kulle and Adria.

Azmodan is probably doable, but not Belial.

Imperius would be hilarious to see in a game.

and that's not to mention the hugely passive-aggressive plurks she made about not being able to app avengers!hulk to atarax after someone else apped him. blah blah I WISH ALL GAMES REQUIRED RESERVES TO APP, so on so forth. she even butted into the apper's plurk to say "WELL I WAS HOPING TO APP HIM MYSELF but i guess you'll do okay--AND NOW HE AND MEGAMIND CAN BE SCIENCE BROS YOU HAVE NO CHOICE 8DDD" the apper was polite about it, but you could tell she didn't want it.

tl;dr version -- she's pushy, massively passive-aggressive, OOC with at least joker and probably megamind, needs her characters to constantly be the center of attention, ignores other players' plans and details about the setting, and is just generally unpleasant to be around.

You're absolutely right. Cirno's big weakness is that she's stupid and reckless, and this is why she loses more often than she wins, even IF she's beaten some big name players.

Sakuya's time stop, if it's anything like the Jojo's canon it's based on, probably takes an exceptional toll on her, so she can't just maintain it indefinitely like some seem to think.

Yuyuko's power can't work on immortals or those who cannot die by normal means, like gods or fairies.

Reimu's spiritual power is limited by tons of rules and her ability to do proper invocations, as pointed out in SSiB

Remilia and Flandre are weakened by sunlight and running water.

Marisa goes all out and has limited stamina.

Alice can't fight without her dolls at all.

Patchouli's ill health prevents her from doing heavy continuous spell casting.

Utsuho's got the same weakness as Cirno, being stupid and reckless.

Satori and Miko's powers can be "shorted out" by over-exposure.

Tenshi actually aims to be beaten because she wouldn't know what to do with herself if she actually did completely decimate her opponent.

Suika and Yuugi can be beaten by fucking soybeans.

Yuuka requires lots of sleep and sunlight to power her attacks, can if cut off she can become as weak as a normal flower.

Shiki Eiki is beholden to law and can only fight within her jurisdiction. She'll only be as strong as she needs to be, never more or less, and she literally cannot fight someone she has no jurisdiction over.

Basically, EVERY character, from the playables to the cannon fodder to the big bosses/EX bosses have built in canon weaknesses, and forgetting those is where you start to become a bad player.

that's nice. it just seems like either not screening the reserves page or updating it regularly would be just as easy as informing several people there are multiple reserves in.

I am intrigued by this thread just because the concept of porn involving Magnemite raises the kind of questions that will haunt you forever until you learn the answer.

there's also estelle & shizuo, iirc, and i think yuuma, emmet, & subaru have been hanging around together for a while. you wouldn't happen to be the anon with the tsa shipping au, would you? that sounded cute, and i know at least one of the players wanted to see it.

The only legit "super god tier ultra power" would be the Moriya gods, Eirin and Yukari. Precisely because of what you're mentioning here, AND they're smart enough to apply their power properly.
