rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. people have far more distance from other religions as opposed to christianity. they're more familiar with it and have likely seen its ugly side, so it makes people feel justified in being obnoxious about it. it's easier to be respective about a religion when you haven't had its creepy proselytisers coming to your door to talk down to you or seeing its adherents ruining funerals of dead soldiers and murdered children and shit

and try to get it taught in science classes

i have yet to have a jew or a muslim try to convert me or tell me i'm going to hell. i'll start hating them when that happens but until then, sorry but i'm going to reserve my hate for the religion that i've actually had do that to me.

Jews in general don't actively seek out converts. Islam is such a feared minority in these parts (the West) that any attempt at spreading the religion would likely be labeled extremism or terrorism despite the fact that most Muslims, as with Christians, are actually peaceful, decent people. If you were in the Middle East, however, you'd have plenty of conservative Muslims telling you you're going to hell. Or you'd be killed for being an infidel, depending on where you are.

Pardon my French, but fuck you. I've lived for years in a "conservative" muslim country and the people I've known/met? Incredibly kind, honest, and very polite. None if this converting bullshit/kill the infidel shit.

Way to malign entire demographics for no goddamn reason.
