rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Temporary Change: To reduce the strain on Dreamwidth's servers new entries will go up when a post reaches 3,000. Please refrain from spamming so we can stretch these entries for a little longer. I'd like to know which games these are too. I hear about people getting shamed for playing f/f or m/m but I have never seen this. I've never been in a game where bigoted shit of all kinds wasn't called out and shamed harshly.

Honestly, I've seen a lot of m/m shaming. Anytime someone mentions a m/m ship on anoncomm you get 'yaoi buttsex' comments as if just the fact that it's m/m means that it can't possibly be IC or well played. Also, you can't forget boarding. The mod was spammed with graphic gory images. That goes a bit beyond shaming and into the bullying territory.

Though most RPers seem to set f/f rp as the holy grail, any hint at all that it's being played by a guy and the entire brigade is screaming neckbeard. Apparently it's only okay if it's girls playing f/f. :/

okay thanks for bringing up boarding, that is a good example, but I am talking specifically about general games. I see people talk about getting shamed in whatever game they happen to have been trying to play m/m or f/f in but game names never get dropped in those stories when they should be. I want to know which games are enclaves of bigoted assholes.

Note I'm a mod and I sure as fuck wouldn't allow that shit to fly in my game so don't say all games are like that.
