Yes. They have a copy of their business plan up somewhere if you care that much.

That's what the invite codes are for; it lets them control the size of the userbase so that it can't grow beyond their ability to pay for the capacity to handle it.

The reason invite codes have been off for a while is that the influx of RPers brought so many paid accounts with it that they can afford to turn off those limitations for now.

They probably could be, but

1. Very few creators are going to track down someone's shitty RP blog and start a legal dispute over them with it. Most people, especially those involved with creating commercial media, have better things to do with their time than start a witch hunt over something so completely pointless as one person pretending to be a fictional character on the Internet.

2. Even if a creator of a series DID track them down and start something, they'd be more likely to threaten them into stopping than to go through the whole effort of taking them to court and fighting a legal battle that will cost them time and money.

doesn't anne rice and some other guy threaten people with legal action if they write fanfiction of their shit? roleplaying is still a type of fanfiction, so i can imagine they could do it even then.

but like you said, most people aren't going to bother. it doesn't seem like a lot of authors or producers or whatever really care. they know fanfiction and fanart are good for the fandom and will keep people interested.

there's no objective answer to that? most people would tell you to shower once a day, but it depends on where you live, i think. in colder countries i've heard they don't shower that often, and that probably works okay for them because they don't sweat as much as people in like. the bahamas. as for shaving your legs, that depends on how much you... give a fuck? some people think leg hair is ~super gross~ but frankly i don't give a shit, and i almost always wear long pants so it's pointless for me anyway.

tldr as long as you're not rolling around in your own filth, do what feels right for you.

Kind of a shame because there was some good advice, even if there was some bad advice along with it (DO NOT try to solve conflicts on your own before going to the mods. Trust me, you'll be saving us a lot of headaches later on by just coming to us first). Not as good as Deadpool's Internet Drama and You, but a fair RP take on it.
