95% of the time when I check my game's discord the topic being discussed is how absurdly tall Warhammer characters are. I could understand the topic coming up a couple times because of how obsessed DWRP is with character heights, but constantly? For weeks? To the point of derailing other conversations? This is just getting silly and sounds like a fetish.

is there a higher proportion of men in the room? guys fucking love Warhammer

Also trans queers. I've never seen another game with such two clearly defined venn diagram circles of fans with almost 0 overlap.

dudes are also obsessed with exact measurements in rp like height, cup size, dick size, power levels, etc. in a way i never encounter with anyone else.

might be an age thing. i'm on the older side and charts with things like height, cup size, dick size were all the rage when i joined for games/character journals. that tmi meme that i still have tucked away in some of my journals used to be one posted a lot on sex game cr/meme comms, and they have cup size/dick size/personal grooming habits.

most of the players in older smut games like coa, amat, were female, and that's where the cr memes came from.

tbh i like when people mention stuff like that if they do a lot of smut threads because it's useful info to have. like i headcanon one of the guys i play as being really hung so i let people know that up front when writing smut with him just so they're not out there trying to have their character deepthroat him because that would probably not be a good time for anyone involved!

yeah, with guys i play, there's certain things that are either actually mentioned in canon, or generally accepted, and i find it really jarring when i'm mid-smut thread and the other side describes the complete opposite of my character's penis. things like circumcised vs non, girthy vs length, hooks or not. or even piercings. or maybe my dude has a medium penis, and i'm trying to figure out why the character is gagging on it or talking about this massive hog when they don't have that.

it's fallen out of fashion to have dick/boob/piercing stuff up, but i kind of wish it hadn't. half of my dudes are uncircumcised. i either have to mention it and then watch them ignore it/gloss over it, or correct it in a pm, which has killed at least one thread.

doesn't help that so many americans genuinely find uncut dicks gross and are clearly writing around any mention of foreskin like they're gonna puke

most dwrpers don't even write enough detail to mention a nutsack and you think that's the hang-up? lol

as someone that's been face to face with almost every penis type that exists out there, the only 'valid' reason for being icked by foreskin is when it belongs to someone who was never taught to clean their penis and underneath the skin properly. you'd think this wouldn't be a real thing that happens, but i have met more than a handful of men that had parents that didn't clean their penis properly as a baby/child, and who didn't know they had to draw back the skin and clean under it when bathing. smegma is a real word that exists for a reason. (also happens to girls who never clean their coochies properly either)

uncut dicks that are clean are a joy to play with, mostly because of how sensitive the owner is since they still have all the sensitivity they were supposed to have. foreskin play itself is a kink and can be interesting to write.

yeah, exactly. i once had someone talk about my girl's huge boobs when she was actually supposed to have ones that were on the smaller side and nowhere in the thread had i given any sort of indication that she had big breasts, they just made that assumption on their own. so now i put her cup size in her smut permissions so that people aren't godmoding her into having massive tits.

i get annoyed when people godmode a huge dick onto my dudes whether i want them to have one or not, so i try never to do that to anyone else if we haven't talked about it ooc. but sometimes if i'm playing the bottom in a thread i'll have him frame it more subjectively, like "you feel so big." then it's more about my character's experience (or tendency to flatter) and doesn't have to be taken literally.

even then, i don't do it with players i've never threaded with before, just with people who know me enough that they could ask me to edit or something if they still didn't want the implication there.

that seems valid. i keep thinking about where i'd put dick size/appearance/additions on my permissions, but since they're so generalized, it feels like it would stand out and then you'd have people like the ones thinking only dudes think about dick size making comments about it. same for pubes, tbh. some of my characters manscape/ladyscape. some let it all go natural. and some are just naturally hairless/not very hairy. i'm a person that doesn't mind writing about interacting with pubic hair in a smut scene, because it happens. but i don't know if the other party grooms, goes full bald, or has a full bush going on.

i guess i wish it wasn't seen as gross or w/e terminology people use to actually put physical stats up in addition to how your character sounds or what they smell like or what kind of clothes they wear.

idk what any of this has to do with "exact measurements". whether a dick is cut or natural or pierced or not are significant details that SHOULD be mentioned because it can completely change how sex goes down.

and yet people will still throw out shade about 'being too focused on specifics' when it's brought up if it's just in a place in your info pages. it's made people less inclined to mention anything about their dicks, pubic grooming, or breast size, because 'that's what bad dudes write and fap to'.

the comparison is bullshit.

i'm obsessed with character heights, i like knowing if my character is looking up or down at whoever they're threading with and how much (also mine is a shrimp and usually the shortest in their game so finding someone smaller is always funny)

taking a guess knowing some players who are into warhammer it's probably just social awkwardness/enthusiasm and not knowing how to read a room, probably harmless. if it's causing a problem, the game mod should ask them to take it to pms or a different channel, but this is typical of game discords ime. this is why i mute game discords and only ever use them if i have a specific question to ask or need to find someone for plotting.

Several attempts at plotting and discussing CR got ignored or derailed because of these players nattering on and on about how tall and powerful and quirky Warhammer characters are, and that's just instances I saw happen. Surprised the mods haven't intervened yet. I know game discords always end up monopolized by That One Group and it's always annoying.
