I'm curious how this game is going. Is it still fairly active? What's the pacing like? The most recent TDM looks pretty full.

It’s quiet.

December is check-in AC. A number of players hiatused last month too so it feels pretty sleepy if you don’t have established and active CR.

I’d say it’s slightly more difficult to get established if you don’t have friends there already than it used to be a year ago. Depends on your character and how proactive you are.

Good point, most games must be slow because of the holiday season at the moment!

The TDM looked pretty active but I know that's not truly a reflection of any game. Sounds like the typical smut game issue where people settle with CR and don't branch out much? The premise seemed to encourage people tag out more.

Within months after opening this was a problem. It’s typical of smut games and GP actively encourages tagging out. It’s ok but not nearly as hot as a year ago.

I think people sometimes forget that as games age they slow down a little just from not being the hot new thing. GP has hit the stage in its age where it isn't super new but still has a dedicated core player base. When games get to that stage it definitely can take a bit more work to establish but I think it is still doable as long as you are proactive about tag outs.

I'm unsure about 'the verge' but quite a few drops are short term players. There are also several who have stated they'll return after Winter.

I thought it was mostly newer people. Games are generally solid until and unless the longer term players start dropping, which I don't think has happened or is happening.

From what I’ve seen it’s people who’ve squatted finally falling out, newbies, or older characters happy with what they’ve done moving on. Pretty typical at this point ime

I’d say it’s totally average for a game at the two year mark. Slow now during the holidays, will probably pick up again come January. If you’re new you’ll get play but you should expect to tag out and be proactive. You have consistent players and also short term players that come and go. Very standard for a game of this size and age.

Interestingly, a lot of older players have returned after a break at one point or another, which i think speaks well of the overall experience. I’ve personally had a lot of fun, and it works with my schedule of not having the time for a demanding game. You can vibe in and you can vibe out or vibe to the left or the right.

TLDR: it’s going fine.
