Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

not sure if this is the place but i've always been a slow tagger. text threads are fine but meatier tags are when i start to struggle. any tips on how to be a faster writer?

without knowing exactly why you struggle, all i can say is Just Write

set a timer for 10 minutes, sit down with a tag, whatever you get at the end of those 10 minutes you send.

focus on the most important stuff. you don't need a three paragraph introspective dive, you need what moves the scene forward. if extra stuff comes to you great, but i'd rather get a tag that moves the scene forward than nothing at all for weeks or months

in every tag make sure you just follow these two steps: respond to the other character in some way and include a hook. once i broke down tagbacks into those basic steps then i got way faster because i've given my tag partners something to work with and anything else i add is just flavor text to beef up the tag. setting timers is a good idea too and focusing at one character at a time

read more. i can't emphasize this enough. the more you read, the more you get an idea of how to write in a way to make the words flow.
