rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.

Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.

1. the blocked journals feature functions on firefox from a clean xpi file install of 5.0.3 dwtools! it's my default browser of choice and it's slightly older bc i disable automatic updates on all of my browsers. also, even if you uncheck the notification display, it still works as intended afa with it enabled, the user and thread are hidden with a notification, and without it, it hides the user and thread with zero notification/page interrupt whatsoever. basically, all seems well!
2. tried replicating on my ancient install of chrome after having a lightbulb moment and learning vivaldi's apparently a chromium-based browser... and everything works, same as firefox!
3. checked around, found vivaldi released an update (7.7) between november 8th and november 13th. learned also that extension breaks seem to be a common and known bug for this release, so if you started experiencing issues before those dates, it's very likely that that's the cause!

also, if you want older versions or don't have a feasible way to revert your current browser edition, mainly since i'm assuming that will undo any issues from this recent update as long as you make sure to uncheck any options about automatic updates, from vivaldi's website: https://vivaldi.com/download/archive/?platform=win
surprised i got to the bottom of it when i thought i wasn't going to get a whole lot of anywhere, esp since i'm sick as heck atm and idk either one of these all that well lol... best of luck though, and crossing fingers it gets fixed sooner than later!! 💻🌐🔓⚡️⚡️
