Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

nah, i saw it come back with the trailer of that update that adds all the customization stuff. it's not as strong as it used to be but many people definitely saw the update as "proof" that isn't gacha

it's funny though because now i'm seeing the memes that call genshin the new roblox

i didn't say it was universally loved, i said i saw some people saying those things. i literally said TWICE that it isn't as strong as it used to be, just that some people think like that. because they do! it's as if different people have different opinions, who would've thought? i even mentioned the roblox memes, which are *mocking* the update - yes, i know most people hated the update, but we weren't talking about those.

anon i think i know where the misunderstanding came in

when you use "inb4" it's typically referring to a contemporary common sentiment held on the website you're currently on, as in dwrp. like it's so common you expect someone to pop up and say "lol it's not a gacha." that's the joke.

i can't vouch for 2020 but no one here would say that in 2025
