a hell of a lot is speculation, but any input based on what we know about her up to the most recent chapters would be great

I'm going to preface this by saying I haven't thought terribly hard about Annie's character until now, but I'll still give this a go and you can take it or leave it!

But I think probably the biggest thing to remember about Annie is that she keeps a distance from pretty much everyone around her. And I'd say it's because of her father telling her, "~~the truth is out there~~ trust no one." (I don't remember if this is exactly what he said, but I think that's the gist of it.) So therefore Annie is the type of person who doesn't trust people easily (if at all), doesn't get attached, and just goes about her day trying to get whatever she wants done (whatever her plans may be. However, I get the feeling that even though she tries not to get close to people, she still does sort of have a soft spot for some of her fellow trainees. This is just my opinion, though, so I may be completely out in left field. XD

Of course, this isn't to say she won't talk to anyone. She's not a great team-player, but she does interact with the others (they just might need to get her attention first because she isn't really the type to volunteer to be social) and she seems to be well-enough liked by everyone else. She may not be popular like Reiner or the darling like Christa, but I don't recall anyone really disliking her in their training days.

Again, this is all off the top of my head, so I can't promise everything is accurate, but I hope this is at least a helpful starting point for you. And good luck with everything!

been too long since i played p3. i can say for sure that his constant push to get better is couched in losing his sister. i know rpers don't want to overblow the utter angst that is akihiko's childhood, but it defined him so much as a person. it's why he joined SEES, took up boxing, traveled the world to wrestle some bears and drink protein shakes...he can't watch someone he cares about get hurt again because he was "too weak." as the Emperor, he desires power. not for domination over his friends but domination over circumstances that could take his friends away from him. remember how he reacted after losing shinjiro. i know fandom makes him out to be super kawaii--which he is, poor boy can't socialize with a punching bag. but akihiko has a lot of personal reasons for going out and uppercutting bears.

typical teenage boy who sees himself as being a tough guy. kind of sexist. but, not a bad guy. very protective of his family and his friends. with the tough guy persona comes the goofball comic relief stuff, too. touji is pretty fun!

Well darn, anon, I'm familiar with the books but I still haven't been able to catch the musical 8( I know just enough to know there are some pretty significant differences.

I hope somebody can give you a hand, though! Regardless of medium, she's awesome and DWRP needs more of her.

Any do's and don't's to avoid the many pitfalls? Canon-point is after the Varia-Arc.

How do you make particularly dense, spacy comic relief style characters from sitcoms (and kinda surreal sitcoms at that) work in a game? I've never really played the (basically pure) comic relief characters before so I'm a little lost.

For those who might know the series, I'm thinking of picking up Dougal from Father Ted. So any advice about him would also be great!

Any advice appreciated, its my first time picking up a character from this series and I am very very nervous about doing it right

Oh man, it's been a while since I reread, but:

- Agreed with the above anon about canon points. Kurapika changes pretty dramatically between the initial Hunter exam/beginning to learn Nen section and the snippets we've gotten of him later after getting more seriously into tracking down the eyes of his clan and having killed a couple of Spiders. I think he's perfectly appable from any point (though the later version might be a little thin on canon still; I think you could work out his mindset and justify it, but there's a chance it'd still be contradicted by canon.) You just have to be sure you're picking a Kurapika you want to play.

- He's one of those characters who's extremely driven to the point of becoming distraught if he loses the route to fulfilling his Cause. This type is tricky to find new motivation for in jarjam games. It's a good idea to figure out what your general plan for development is before throwing him in somewhere, or you're likely to have nothing to do with him after a couple of months.

- He's also a little bit of a know-it-all. TAKE NOTES, because you'll want to be able to explain stuff to cross-canon characters who ask questions.

how can I play him not as horribly as a lot of people do?
I want to do this well, but I've seen it done so wrong

So I haven't decided on what game to pull him from yet, but there is some consistency between his characterization in most games, so basically anything that holds true to the character across all of his appears would be helpful.

Like, he has an interest in people who have the power or strength to fight for their own future, he wants everyone to rebel against authority/god, is there anything else?

Basically anything you guys can think of would be helpful.
