seven seas entertainment picked the series up & the first part of book 1 was released the beginning of july. anyone reading or rereading? how do you find the translation so far? i know the fan translation has been completed. anyone thinking of picking someone up or reviving old muses?

my weeb, 90% of dwrp is sex games. these are exactly the type of characters i'd expect to see in them precisely because they don't have worlds to save or baggage to carry or complicated lore to work around. no shade, but c'mon, we all rp here. 'deep' doesn't necessarily mean 'good.'

So I've been reading Witch on the Holy Night, and its kinda inspiring me to get back into Fate/ after quite a few years not keeping up. What anime/manga from the franchise are actually worth looking into?

Happy you've been enjoying it, anon. There's so much good to pick from, so for starters:

- Fate/Stay Night ofc, if you haven't read it yet. The new translation is solid and it's on Steam. An official translation of Hollow Ataraxia should be releasing sometime this year, too, so it's the best time to get back into Fate/. The Unlimited Blade Works TV series by ufotable may not be 100% faithful to the VN ( that's a lotta words ), but it's gorgeous and backed by an amazing soundtrack, so it's definitely worth the watch, too, if you're not into reading right now. The Heaven's Feel trilogy movies, I would consider most valuable for watching after you've reread the VN route, given how short they are in comparison.
- Fate/Zero is still worth a watch, albeit for completely different reasons. There's so much about it that gets cross-referenced in other series, and the character webs themselves are still as interesting as they were in 2011.
- If you're into gaming, and can stomach a really awkward battle system, I would suggest emulating and checking out Fate/Extra and Fate/Extra CCC, which finally got a fan translation. The latter is some of the most heart wrenching stuff to come out of this series. The Fate/Extra Last Encore is not very friendly to those who haven't played or watched a LP of Extra.
- If you're enjoying Witch on the Holy Night, I would totally check out Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon.

I would say your best bet is edging back into something with more resources and seeing how much it sticks, before getting into off-shoot series like the Fate/Prototype: Fragments of Sky Silver novels or something. ( Which, that's getting a manga series now, and the art is gorgeous ).
