hahaha maybe; 12's temper goes off faster than say, rise's. at least in my opinion. now i have an idea for another account name too from thinking about it

since i have a captive player of your game to chat up; i was looking at the tmd that was linked. i'm very much not used to games anymore and had a question. the numbered system that was shown in the tmd are various prompts for the post? i saw a lot of different replies to say, yourself and others there. it seemed simple enough but some of the threads got really long and closed off so it was like hmmm better ask

Yeah the numbers correlates to the prompts in the main TDM post. I do it because it's a nice quick way to go "hey this goes with the prompt about training" (dumb example, but you know) before digging into what each person has written.

So yep, that simple. I like it cause then if I'm only feeling like hitting up certain prompts with people I could just ctrl+f the number of the prompts that interest me. I hope that I explained it well enough, I'm mobile posting rn so apologies for any errors.

that's actually a really nice feature to give people the options of playing and help give a good starter. i haven't seen that done much before.

and it'd be totally okay to like... make a post there despite not being in the game or wait until the next one? i'm not familiar with TDMs as i used to play in private games so we didn't have these things.

I'd say it's okay, I can't speak for how much engagement you'd get? (if you I would link it on the game discord though! And I would tag you.) The next one won't be until the evening of the June 30th in North American timezones (as the game runs on GMT) so I guess it depends on if you feel like you can wait or not?

oh waiting might be a good idea. it'll give me some time to make the account and get things set up too, since i'd need some icons as well. and it'll make me decide which version since right now i am doing research.

but that's the point of tmd's yes? testing out a setting to see if it's fun before apping?

Yep, testing the character in the setting to see if they/you gel with it. Also good idea for waiting, especially if you're unsure on which/need to canon review/anything else.

Also icons, at least for Rise, there are some over here.

hello friend! i was looking through the game again and had a question regarding it and the concept of the fighting kaiju. the mods had a post regarding fighting the recent monster and people attacked it based off of rng.

but one thing that i saw a few times was that they mentioned corruption? or a sickness?

is that a result of fighting/in game mechanic to drive new interactions? i was having difficulty finding a thread somewhere of the result of it.

No problem!

It's a rift effect, which is normally just sickness from exposure to the rifts the kaiju cone from/create. In the case of the current event the effect is one with a tie in to Eresh and her canon. The corruption makes the character more violent towards humanity/become an enemy of humanity and is basically what's going on with Eresh and the other PCs that went missing. The sickness/sumerian flu is what has hit the LILITH NPCs and is, as it says, an illness. Not every kaiju event has had special rift effects like this one.

Normally it's just the regular rift effects, ie: headaches, irritably etc. And you can either tell the mods you don't want a rift effect, RNG it so the mods decide or player's choice of what effect to pick.

ohhhhh okay! i saw that there were different ones going on and wasn't sure if it was a constant thing or something that built up over time. that's really interesting and gives people options for cr after the event and whatnot.

i like that a lot; gives options which is totally helpful if a player is stuck with an idea after an event or something

Folks in Syn are pretty great about stuff. So, in my biased opinion, it's not a bad place to get your feet wet in the wider DWRP sphere.

this is really encouraging though, especially since i've been out of rp circles for so long :)
