would definitely be a good time to poke the other player and see where their prefs lie. doesn't have to be a big thing, even just a little pm to the journal is fine. "hey so i've been thinking about this tag and i actually think it could go either a or b. can't decide which! any thoughts on what sounds more fun for us?" etc etc

if you really don't mind either option yourself, it's gonna be a win/win to find out what jives with your partner. no need to play guessing games if you really don't need to.
