also a big emphasis on the second point made. if someone ignores your tags consistently, don't keep tagging them. not saying you're someone who would do this, but as someone who has been the recipient of this before, it's really off putting to say the least.

i think it can be, but it doesn't have to be.

if a makes b a cheese sandwich, there's narration about how b doesn't really like cheese that much but will smile and eat it to be polite, and a's next tag is getting up without a word, making a different sandwich and plonking it in front of b? infomodding. even if accompanied by a's thought that he remembers b loves ham sandwiches. petty infomodding, but still of the "my character must never make mistakes" variety.

if the narration is hinting towards interesting things character a might learn if he asks the right questions about character or game history, b's player is trying to drop hooks to spice the conversation up. don't have to take them all, especially if a isn't that interested in b, but i can see how never taking any would get frustrating. some players are more subtle and skilled at doing this while keeping the conversation natural than others. on both sides.

in the end, my case turned up to be one of they think it's fun because this isn't novel writing, it's rp writing, and they're just spicing it up because it's being read in realtime. the player took offense when i finally signaled it was challenging for me to stay immersed in our threads, so we've decided to part ways (like some of the earlier respondents had predicted we should).

sex games generally have a much better turnout than other genres and there's been a dearth of options. if you think about it, the only public 'competition' this game has is duplicity, which has been around long enough that players who seek a sex game have already tried it out or decided it isn't for them.

i'm going with repost. at least one person on the apps plurk mentioned that they didn't post to the right place, but they saw their app listed.

- "I'm really loving our [insert details here] PSL!" it's valid to say you are super into the thing you're already threading, and I don't think that turning a thirsty thursday plurk into an appreciation plurk comes off as entitled.

note: this holds if it's something that's being actively threaded but slow. if it's been multiple weeks or months since it's been tagged, reaching out to them in a private plurk to clarify if they want to continue or if it's dead is a better move.

also honestly if this person is stringing you along/not tagging things to the extent that you feel like you want to quit RP, find new RP partners!

if someone is consistently tagging your top levels and you really don't want to play with them, tell them not to tag you, don't repeatedly ignore them

should they get the hint? probably. but it's deeply unkind to let someone continue to try to play with you when you actively don't want to play with them.

(if you think they're going to react very badly to you asking them not to tag you then that is a different problem, but I would try asking first and then take it to community or game mods if they flip out.)

While I generally agree with talking to people about this stuff, I think ignoring people on memes is a valid choice. It's not a hint, not replying IS telling them not to tag you.
