Books:
The Raven Cycle (The Raven Boys / The Dream Thieves/ Blue Lily, Lily Blue / The Raven King) by Maggie Stiefvater has her relationship with her mother being one of the most important connections the main girl has. As someone who is a mama's girl it really touched hard on that for me, especially as a series that allows there to be conflict while still clearly having the relationship between them remaining loving and supportive.

Burn Our Bodies Down by Rory Powers is the flipside - there's some sci-fi stuff going on but it's ultimately about generational trauma and I cannot emphasize enough the heavy trigger warnings for abusive interactions between mother (and grandmother) and daughter. Not really physical but heavily verbal and emotional. I was listening to the audiobook and had to pull over and take a moment at one line that sticks with me: "Maybe someday my strength will be a gift from my mother instead of something I needed to survive her."

Format isn't such a big deal, so long as the layout isn't needlessly complicated. It should be easy to find each bit of information.

Name + Age, Canon + Canonpoint
Short Bio (This is who the character is)
Indepth Bio (History, etc, especially in the case of very obscure characters or OCs)
Physical descriptor or visual reference (If icons don't tell you enough, especially if they have unusual characteristics)

I think most people are okay with being tagged again if it was once or twice, but won't initiate with someone who has flaked on them. It also depends on how many times you flaked on them, because if it happens enough times they won't likely reply to you anymore.

I hate when I'm really struggling with keeping threads with a specific character/player going. The player is so nice that I feel bad when I open their thread, get stuck, go and do several other tags and threads first before finally getting back to them. And even then it's like pulling teeth to find a hook, compose a reaction, and make sure they have something to react to, too.

I don't think we're doing anything wrong, maybe it's a mismatch of characters. But nothing interesting really happens between them, so their threads are hard to move along.
