and alternatively i have had people do this to me. i've never found it pushy, and it's always led to fun second threads and sometimes psls.

Don't accept that, because you don't know if it's entirely true. People are slow on certain tags or drop them for reasons that don't have anything to do with someone's writing or characterization.

The chances are likely that there is someone who would have loads of fun getting your tags. They're out there if you keep looking, cast a wide net and tag out a bunch. Try to keep your expectations neutral.

But from the phrasing of your post, it also sounds like taking a break from RP might be beneficial to you, just to shake off that feeling.

Just binged this show and would love to write either side (or both, both would be great) of this special hell of a ship. Part one, part two, captive homesteading, patient/doctor power dynamics, fake Stockholm vs a splash of genuine Lima syndrome. Enemies to lovers that are still enemies, dubcon over noncon, no happy endings kinda vibe. And role reversal: lock his ass up. Open to crosscanon with other such take-no-shit heroines w/ mortal enemies (your Jessica Joneses, your Alina Starkovs, etc).

all these new games going up and they're all horror or sci-fi, the two genres i'm so burnt out on that i don't even want to look at any games of that type for another few years :(

i feel this in my bones, anon. i have been trying to find something less futuristic/modern and more historical/high fantasy-leaning myself because i'm so burnt out on sci-fi settings, but options are slim to non-existent with those kinds of games.

i just want to play my magical blorbo in an appropriate setting. i'm not interested in them learning how to use a phone or drive a car. 😔

I don't know why people are dogpiling you here, that first anon in particular acting like this is "bait" (for what?) instead of the clear woe of someone with anxiety dealing with someone they miss talking to not talking to them anymore.

Other anons have given you good advice but yeah, try not to be too navel-gazing. If you think they'll mesh well, message and see if they're interested. Say you enjoyed playing with them before and think it would be a lot of fun to try something new. If it works out, cool! If not, nothing left to be anxious over.

yes, exactly. all of my current muses are historical/fantasy types so i would love a game i could play them in where they wouldn't be constantly getting tripped up by all of this weird technology. it's fun the first few times but after a while it just gets tiring to keep playing out over and over again.

also i'm just plain bored with sci-fi at this point. i've played in so many sci-fi games that there's nothing new or interesting anymore, they're all just variations on a theme and i'm tired of that theme.

i suggest doing one of three things: 1) rip off the band-aid and unfriend them 2) unfollow them until you're in a better state of mind to decide what to do 3) pp them.

Anyway, I second this anon's suggestion to unfollow them for a while and try to get into a better state of mind before you do anything relating to this other person. If you message them while you're in a bad mental space, things are more likely to go poorly imo.
