ideally non-au (unless it's canon-divergent au) but other than that i'm game for anything, from genship stuff to nsfw.

Putting out new books for my students and seeing their reactions is truly the best part of my job.

I know I've said it before, but given how old the books in our library are, it means the world to my students to have access to titles that are relevant to what they're interested in. Every time you guys send a book my way, you should all know that you're making my students' whole year.

tbh rpa woe threads are terrible for venting into the void bc this void can talk back and will sometimes call your vent very dumb

that's just the hazard of doing it in a comm instead of a private journal post of your own or smth

never bad practice to pause yourself right before posting a woe and ask yourself if you're actually fine with getting anon judgment about it, bc the chances of it happening are never 0

I miss being in a game, but none of the games attract me, now. And I don't know anyone to get me into a private game.

it was less of me not wanting people to reply to me, and more that every other time i’ve posted a woe to rpa it’s been lost in the sea of fellow miserable roleplayers, so i was surprised to see anyone actually paying attention (if somewhat derisively) to what i was saying.

recently lost a fun thread i was really enjoying to an unfort development beyond our control

it's not exactly this but like, along the lines of the other player getting a new job that's killed their tag mojo and is forcing them to hiatus from rp overall for awhile, something like that. it's super understandable and there's mutually no hard feelings about it. but the sadness remains...

no, i assume the part people thought was bait was the fact that i was stating an incredibly obvious and easy to fix problem and then whining about it instead of actually, you know, fixing it. i’m aware it was a stupid thing to complain about. i was venting on rpa like countless other anons, that’s kind of the point.

I've been there before, you can unfollow without unfriending. It did me wonders for stopping myself from trying to start stuff with them again that just fizzled while they focused on everyone else.

there's some allegory here about the abyss-like horrors of the amorphous anon condition probably, but im too sleepy to connect those dots for a joke rn so somebody else is gonna have to do it lol

but yea np, sometimes it's easy to forget we're posting stuff that at least a dozen randos are driving by and reading in here. best to remember tho.
