rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

if it's really critical like, someone saving my character from drowning, I try to limit that to the first response, but everything else can be wobbly-hand-waved without specifics. "We talked one time" it doesn't matter what we talked about (usually).

It also helps to have hooks be less activity-dependent and more about opportunities to talk, there's less thinking involved in how to gloss over which details later.

One game I was in and held hopes for died. Been feeling stagnant in this hobby, with few people to share my kinks or fandoms with. I've been moving most of my RPing to f-list and Discord, and it's been the only place where I've been able to scratch my itches.

I still roleplay with some select partners, and had some nice threads and CR for the game I was in. I've also been thinking of making and playing more OCs in general, since I haven't been much into canon characters as of late, and try to get into one game at least. But all I want is for us to get some new blood into this platform.

This one new person at bakerstreet who plays anime and gacha mcs but with the same generic harem protagonist personality

My favorite rp partner never tags me when I'm around to tag them back anymore. :( We used to boomerang when possible.
They're tagging, they know I'm online and doing tags, but they're playing with other people.
At first I assumed it was a coincidence but I realized this has been going on for months now.
First world rp woes I know, still feels bad.

How does one even go about finding writing partners on f-list and Discord? I'm genuinely curious because I'm feeling stagnant, too.

my natural nails are so long and pretty rn but i know i need to polish them asap before they get destroyed

Had a rough falling out with a group who were happy to communicate to each other in private about what to do with my characters after they tried to foist a surprise polyship. Then found out my ic responses were considered pa and I was boring to rp with. Probably because ftb on smutt want good enough, which they told me they were fine with. All along I was told I was an awesome fun player. I get I’m not owed tags and ‘we don’t mesh ic’ is valid but I should’ve been told. End result wiped out my characters years old cr.

I’m grateful for the new tag ins I’ve been getting and the return tags to my tag outs. I’ve been even making sure the girlies of others in rp are getting tags when it makes sense for mine to respond to. Hopefully I’m not too pa and boring ic 😉

Next year refusing to I engage ooc unless it is for plotting only and communicating that yes this is a problem for me, understand my anger response is valid if you are doing shitty behaviour that affects characters and another player. Maybe I won’t feel so stomped over when I get ditched so others can fully play out bumping barbie doll uglies together because ftb is not good enough. Or they wanted to slide in hurt/comfort with a side ship where my characters were the villains. Which they did. Idk, all I know now is they can make my characters the villains, they are the clowns in my characters story.

TLDR: this year’s rp was a nope 😔 next year will maybe be less nope.

I'm there too. Had to force myself to stop trying to boomerang with them again, it just made me sad sitting around waiting for the reply that would only finally come as soon as I had to stop tagging.
