This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

being ignored feels bad, but people have interest changes all the time. it might not be personal. the only way to know if something went down is to hit them up. talk to them or if you don't want to do that, then unfollow or unfriend them if seeing them around is making you that anxious.

well friends, it’s been one hell of a year. 2023 isn’t going out quietly and i think i’ve lost more than i’ve gained but i’m infinitely grateful for my little rp community.

Agreed with the above anons!

I feel like the secret sauce that makes something "horror" is more of a matter of what you can realistically anticipate will happen to your character in that game. In a horror game, I'd expect characters to be suffer trauma (physical and psychological), to be not as powerful as the threats they face/to be helpless in the face of overwhelming Scary Forces, to be largely without outside validation and assistance, and probably to have permanent consequences (physical or psychological) as a result of said threats.

It sounds like the game you're describing is something closer to "spooky fantasy," which might have visually/conceptually scary elements (transformation, weird environments) but wouldn't go nearly as dark as a horror game with regards to tormenting or traumatizing the characters.
