basically all the women in murcielago are attracted to women in one degree or another, and since the main character is an assassin she gets to be mean about men.

all the girls in savior are lesbians in a toxic love triangle (the sad vampire is actually the least fucked up tbh), but there’s almost no male involvement in the series besides a couple plot devices.

As a newbie, when it's fun it can be so much fun but it is really, really cliquey and you have to fight for cr in a way that can sometimes work but is exhausting to maintain, and it can be emotionally not fun to feel like you're just observing the in-group from the fringes. I'm running out of stamina for it personally, but you'll have better luck if you still know people here or if you pick a popular character/canon, and obviously if you already know the social rules of the hobby.

(I don't say this to be all woe-is-me—I think it's understandable that people are more interested in cr from people who they know and who aren't newbies—but it is definitely more difficult than I anticipated it being.)

if you want fun “queer“ ladies in the danganronpa series, you’d have a better time with ultra despair girls. touko and komaru grow really close and loving and you see them have their struggles together throughout the game.

besides, i don’t think anyone in the dangan series is canonically queer (except for juzo, and he’s also hard to like, but for different reasons).

Two separate game experiences, but I did trial run quite a bit with psls, which were broadly less exciting (part of the fun for me is building out a character's social life) but at the same time broadly less stressful/effortful. Before this I had spent a long time in forum RP. I'm not sure if after this I'll go back to that or try psling again, the writing quality here is generally more my speed hence my hesitation.

yikes i can't be the only one here who thinks that this response is unnecessarily cold, and i think you're missing the point. op knows the problem, and they know they have to communicate. they're just expressing their anxiety, which tbh anonymously is a harmless and easy way to do. it doesn't hurt anyone or clutter a timeline. just scroll by if you're going to do this "tough love" rude act. not sure why you're getting so triggered over someone being woeful under a thread that's all about woes. it's a way of venting.

that being said, op, the anon does have a point that it's important to reach to others and communicate, and you can't expect others to know what you're thinking. that old rp partner is off in their own little world having a blast with their new muse and doing new threads, and you know how we all get tunnel vision when we click with a new character, ship, or game. it just happens, and it probably has nothing to do with you. so you have a few options.

1. continue doing nothing. your anxiety will remain. nothing will change. as mentioned above, you're free to have woes and vent, but it's gotta become exhausting at some point, right?
2. reach out with a proposition for a thread. maybe they will, maybe they won't accept, and you'll have to accept it. easier said than done, but I bet if they refuse, it's probably because of the character you're playing rather than anything else, and they're looking for something more specific. but if they accept, be prepared to do a bit more of the heavy-lifting for starting threads and stuff.
3. instead of threading, just write a fic about your characters. I've seen some people do this when they want some sort of closure for dead cr or psls, and they say it's helpful.
4. be the change you want to see. pick up their character and play them instead. find someone else who plays the muse you used to play, a character-type close enough to them. you'd be surprised how easy it is, because sometimes it's not the characters or the player, but just the type of dynamic the two characters bring that we crave to write.
3. if you can't handle your anxiety, then unfriend them, or at least unfollow them, and find other things to do. the only control you have is over what you do and how you play.

where did you serve soldier? I did my first tour of duty in Sirens Pull back at the beginning of the war, but I got redeployed to Amat Omnes and let me tell you. They don't tell you about the real horrors of war.
