Why are so many people here so weirdly cruel on anon, and does that actually represent the true rp community?
Just looking at flat view:
Apparent secret TERFs who are being transphobic and talking about a former dramatic player using a rude portmanteau of their name and deadname when they've done either absolutely nothing wrong (I have no history here so I don't know) or haven't done anything wrong in long enough it doesn't really matter.
Assuming a comment is from a particular person and then telling them to go do their tags "for once" and to stop commenting on their "terrible choices" ... that's not how you get a response in a social hobby. Is it because it's an anon meme and it's posturing and being over the top, or do people actually speak to their RP partners this way? Or worse, feel that way but not say anything in a kinder fashion?
I would not want to RP with anyone who talked to me like that or anyone who actually thought poorly of me but pretended not to, or who is misgendering just to cause hurt feelings or question someone's identity just because they're "creepy" (cis or trans doesn't have anything to do with how someone may or may not be creepy).
And do people really care that much about icons. Like really? I totally understand the not conflating Korean and Chinese, but further than that?
I'm very much hoping this is "anon comms are cesspools" and not representative. If this is how people in DWRP communicate I think I'll backtrack on trying to join a game; I'd like to make friends I enjoy writing with, not be a transactional source of tags. I'd love to be told this kind of stuff is an anomaly though! But as a trans person who tags slowly it seems more like a minefield than a good time.
