Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.

i've been holding on to a lot of indignation and hurt over something that happened in rp years ago that i now believe was pinging some other issues from my childhood. think a character constantly being picked on by other characters when i was bullied as a kid, just as an example. i didn't know those issues were really a thing at the time and only made the connection between them recently.

i've been irrationally craving some kind of closure or accountability for stupid ic stuff for years, and now that i understand why it touched such a nerve it feels both understandable and incredibly uncomfortable that i was getting so hung up over rp crap.

less a woe and more a "what the hell, self," i guess.

been there, anon. i didn't realize until years later that some characters i've played allowed me to hash out stuff i'd experienced in a 'safe' way, even if they were things i wasn't fully admitting to myself, because i had some measure of control over it. if you're not in some form of therapy, it might be a helpful thing to hash out with someone.
