poorly lit live action icons

So I'm looking to commission someone for some live action icons. However, the screencaps don't have the best lighting. It's from a YouTube video that you could tell had minimal budget in the lighting department. I'd be happy to provide caps upon request, but does anybody know any graphic makers that would be good for that sort of thing? Or hell, drop your username here if you yourself are good at that sort of thing.

I picked up a ton of extra fonts today and, after installing them, I've realized my mistake.

Is there a way to sort them and only access a few fonts at a time, or am I stuck with an insanely expanded font list until I uninstall them?

looking for a program to make maps of rooms/interiors that includes assets for modern or scifi settings, not just medieval fantasy, and is free or very low cost. barring actual programs or sites, i'll gladly take tips on creating this kind of thing using other resources. (just please don't suggest the obvious "draw it on graph paper with a pencil" lol)

https://cartographyassets.com was for Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft originally, but if you're willing to put in some time searching, it has a *lot* of modern/cyberpunk/sci-fi assets (for free, even) that can be shopped into a room. Furniture, plants, environmental objects, vehicles, devices, etc. The assets available are mostly individual .png files that you can easily pop open in Photoshop, but sometimes they're a .dungeondraft_pack file. https://github.com/Ryex/Dungeondraft-GoPackager/releases is a program that will unpack those files for the delicious .pngs inside.

Dungeondraft and Wonderdraft are obvious picks, of course, but they're twenty bucks each. Wonderdraft is for world maps, but will make rooms with the right assets. I used them a few times. It can be a little slow, but you can get a lot if you're willing to work at it. To be perfectly honest, though, the only benefit to this over regular image editing software is time and frustration saved in placing assets.

http://www.planyourroom.com/ is a quick and dirty way to do it, but the result won't look fancy. It's a black and white grid with walls and modern furniture.

MapForge is another map maker that you can build worlds with. I don't know much about it. But it does have free modern/sci-fi assets and it offers a free trial download, making it a cheaper option than the -draft programs.

https://www.homestyler.com/ You'll need an account, but this is a 2D/3D home designing site. There are paid options, but the free option looks like it'll handle casual usage just fine. Modern only.

https://designedition50.icovia.com/ A quick and simple room designer with a variety of room shapes and a lot of furniture options. Purely modern, no sci-fi.

i saw an artist recently say they designed backgrounds in the sims and then traced over them, and it blew my mind.

I'm trying to find some Life is Strange icons or caps, but so far haven't had any luck on dreamwidth, insanejournal, tumblr, or in finding screencap galleries on other sites. Just wondering if anyone might know of any caps or have some? Specifically, I wanted to make icons for a Nathan Prescott rp account.

If there aren't any out there, that's fine. I just wanted to try asking before going through the effort of making caps of my own.

profile navs??

this is probably a stupid question, but how do people do profile navs on their journal page that don’t show the pages it links to directly under it? my journal just shows the nav and then the other posts underneath it :(

you go to organize -> customize style -> presentation -> basic options -> number of journal entries to show on the recent entries page -> change it to 1! and make sure your nav entry is either your most recent one or forward dated so it'll always appear first!

This is a shot in the dark but I came back to DWRP after a long break (8+ years) and play from an old canon (Trigun). I lost my resources on an old rig. Does anyone know where I could get icons of Vash, anime or manga doesn't matter to me?

Unfortunately a lot of the icons resources I've used over the years have been scrubbed from the internet due to photobucket/tiny pic removing photos or LJ purging inactive journals, but I've been able to find a couple links that still work. Or feel free to go through the icons on this account!

I'm not sure if you're aware but if you find a icon you like that has a photobucket watermark logo on it you can get rid of it by opening the image in a new tab. You'll probably be seeing that watermark logo all over the place.

On Dreamwidth:
Anime Vash icons
This one has a couple super stylized icons. Not sure they'll work for you, but I've used a couple!

On Livejournal:
Some of these icons still load.
Sadly almost all of these links in this old Trigun icons community are broken, but you MIGHT get lucky here and there.
fiorite icons are still up, but you'll need to use the open in another tab trick to remove the photobucket watermark from them.
some of isotropicons icons are still up
