- got returned to canon from the moment they left, still doomed to die, but now determined to throw a wrench in canon on their way out instead of passively accepting it like before. have since concepted an entire au around how things are different after they die.
- ended up in a cross dimensional long distance relationship with their ship partner. the long distance part is questionable when it's more like they trade back and forth whose dimension they're staying in most of the time, so their time spent apart is actually not that high.
- due to reasons involving how they were pulled into the game setting in the first place, they now mostly just wander their canon world, rediscovering it like it's new to them. every now and then they shadow the friends they once knew but don't quite entirely remember properly, just to see how they're doing. they don't want to reinsert themselves because imagine meeting a stranger wearing a friend's face, yikes.
