i would love it to be a common thing for OCs (and perhaps obscure canon muses) include a copy/paste line in their top levels that sums up in a single sentence who they are. "Tired line chef from a sci-fi dystopia", "magical girl who fights and exorcises possessed BJDs", "detective whose murder investigation subjects keep coming back as zombies"

i don't mind going to people's journals for info on their muse but I feel like it would help people stand out and get more bites if you could be scrolling down the lineup and see a tagline that makes you go "ooh I wanna see where that goes".

I play both well known and obscure characters and can confirm, adding just a sentence or two about the character and what might be a helpful prompt or witty comment about the meme always helps. I hit more often than I miss on memes when adding just one or two sentences.

it does help. i try to modify the line to be relevant for each meme

keep em all in a Google doc so they're always at the ready

i do this! and i would honestly love this if EVERYONE did a little elevator pitch tagline, even from popular canons.

like i know mcu is a huge cultural phenomenon but i haven't seen EVERY movie and don't intend to. i have honestly forgotten a lot of stuff from star wars because i only watched them once. i know some of the big video game characters but i didn't learn until recently one of links could turn into a wolf??? that's cool and something my lycanthrope character can connect with, but wouldn't have guessed that at all if i didn't randomly poke around their icons and journal.

a little blurb would have immediately drawn me to that. even if something is popular that doesn't mean people still can't be canonblind and unaware of good cr hooks. one of my characters is royalty but he never brings this up unless he's talking to other royalty, so if i don't put that out there in an ooc elevator pitch blurb no one knows that might be a kind of cr there for them.
