This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. ancient drs had:

- monthly events
- ooc community w/ chat rooms
- people who were willing to take a prompt and make their own post instead of top leveling in a major post

people think DRs magically managed themselves back in the day. there was a strong ooc community and there were monthly events. usually cracky status-change kinds of events, "oh no there's a virus outbreak that gives the afflicted cat ears!" "oh no sex pollen season!" "someone decorated xyz place in a silly way come look at it and react" stuff. everyone who opted in made their own posts about it which were functionally top-levels.

the part that was kind of fun was sometimes a player would just have their character react to a thing they mostly planned for themselves and everyone else would play along and make it MORE of a thing. that was fun about DRs. like a big game of telephone.

i feel like DRs could still work really well in modern dwrp but they'd need to adapt slightly; just a little more modly handholding/event curating and encouragement to keep activity steady
