This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. Unless you're sticking to preplanned PSLs, you probably won't have much luck with really slowburn shipping because in my experience most players won't have the patience for it. And I mean I get why. We're all pretty flaky now. Most want to actually get to play out the ship before one or both partners burn out on their characters or the game and drop.

So they'll go for the CR that gets there sooner. Why not be that CR? Just because it might take your character 5, 10, 5000 years in canon to get with someone doesn't mean you have to or even should emulate that in RP. Ain't nobody got time for that. Try to reasonably fast track the stuff you most want to play so you actually get to play it!

Show even a little thought into your decisions and you’re fine. Anyway who cares as long as your character is still recognizable.

I think the kind of player policing how fast your cr develops isn’t going to be someone most people will want to rp with. If they show their ass chances are good you won’t be the one people avoid unless you overreact.

yeah i don't have the energy for like a year or year+ long slowburn, especially if it's not canon. if it's a canon pairing i'm a little more easy going about it, although i'd still rather the timeline be 6ish months for them to start getting romantic. especially if i'm finding other ships that are faster moving and gel just as well for me/my character.
