This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. as a recent game mod i can't help wondering if this is one of the people who try to throw painfully long (3k+ words) personality sections at me and act like they Have To when i would much prefer they kept it under like 500 words

as someone who can easily wax poetic 3k words about my blorbo and feel the need to be comprehensive and thorough at all times, i appreciate when mods give max word limits when they don't want to read all that shit

i did eventually! i got people whining at me that they had to condense their personality sections so much, thus 100% affirming my decision

i sort of get anon's point because i find it harder to describe why a character is like this compared to just writing tags, but a week still feels too long for me for a personality section

but i'm also the type to write it in 30 minutes and go back to it right before apps to proofread spelling errors. never had issues getting in that way before.

idk, i feel like if i can't explain to someone else why a character is the way they are, i don't understand them well enough to play them in a game. when i really love a character and want to play them i can't wait to write their personality section and babble about them.

i definitely agree! if i struggle too hard on the personality, i don't know the character enough to put them in a game.

the struggle for me is usually how to start writing it all. sometimes i have so much i want to say but i don't know how to say it, then when i finally start i can't stop.
