Just because someone might have previously wanted cr that doesn't mean they have to keep up with you on their social media. Take a hint and move on instead of making it all about you and how you're ~uncomfortable~ not being able to respond to them.

Why would you keep tagging people you have blocked?

yeah it's literally not an issue about them establishing boundaries. it's them establishing boundaries and then still trying to use people as rp dispensers. and tagging into a log where they've blocked all 3 of the main pcs' players on plurk is bizarre.

Hasn't the party line here always been that you shouldn't contact someone who has you blocked? Any other time people would consider that pushy and weird. So why is it different here? I feel like I've entered bizarro world. If someone blocks you you're supposed to take the hint and back off, not DM them to ask why you've been blocked. I'd be confused if someone blocked me then tagged into a log about my character, too.

because we're talking about being blocked and then receiving a tag in a log that's more or less basically yours

in that scenario it isn't breaking any unspoken social laws to message the person for clarification because it's a genuinely strange and confusing thing to do and can be resolved within a single exchange of messages, like it literally was in this exact scenario (even tho the john player was also stupid about it)

why are anons so offended by the idea of getting messages (easy to ignore, deleteable, no penalty if you never respond) from people they have blocked, anyway? unless the person is actually harassing you or being a piece of shit, you can just... delete the message. you're not obligated to give reasoning and neither does it hurt you in any way to have someone ask why they did that. if they choose to be a psycho about it further then that's on them

why? if dave player had been a random third party i'd agree, but dave player didn't want to play with bee either, and it was THEIR log. they both agreed to send just one pm instead of two saying the same thing. i fail to see the problem here.

because the pm was only about the dave player's feelings, not john's. at least i'd have expected the pm from dave to include something like "we're both not comfortable with you tagging this log considering you have john's player blocked." instead the pm was "i'm not comfortable with the other player tagging around you and i think you should be considerate of them," which doesn't actually illustrate that these are also john player's words. it just sounds like dave made an executive decision themselves

imho it would have helped clarify the situation a lot more. like, bee said herself up thread, "When she told me to remove myself, she highlighted it was because I'd recently removed her from plurk." i feel like communication that it wasn't just stemming from megan having been removed from plurk would have helped this end up slightly less neurotic

i'm not trying to say that bee hasn't also been at fault here ofc. i just think the overall communication was kind of dumb and it's no wonder there's still bad blood when it went down the way it did

that is actually fair! but that is still on dave player's wording, not john.

for the record, i think dave player saying "i don't want you in my log" (an executive decision, as you said) would've been fine, because even if john hadn't minded it was still dave's log. and it sounds like it was fine until all this thread happened? so idek. but yeah i get you.

i once accidentally tagged someone who blocked me and they messaged me right after to tell me to stop harassing them and that I should know that the journal is theirs. that's why they blocked me.

this is with the fact that their name wasn't on the journal. who even looks at blocked plurks to know which one hates you?

anyway, the point is it's not weird for people to assume blocked means no contact, and it's also possible the blocker didn't realize who the person is. there are definitely some really jumpy anons who hate the idea of anyone they block approaching them.

like, totally understand not wanting anything to do with people, but how do you get by in this hobby where you can never be sure who's behind what journal being that sensitive? sometimes people just don't know that twink anime boy of the week #8549846 is played by their arch nemesis and it isn't harassment to receive a tag from them. tell them what's up or ignore it, natch

it's a show of maturity on both people's sides
