I’m still playing this game and a few people on my plurk are. The NA release is making more money than magia record from what I hear so I’m not doom posting yet

that's good to hear! like i get the concerns ppl have about the pacing and the translations choices, but i don't want to let some of the doomposters get to me bc i do genuinely want to keep playing.

I stopped playing for two weeks because my game kept crashing every time I tried to do anything. It took me that long to find the solution to fix it on the internet.

Buggy game makes for less players.

how did you fix it bc I thought it was just my phone being garbo

da - I also couldn't play for a while because it would crash terribly. I didn't really do anything to fix it, the most recent update stabilized it for android better. As such I'm on chapter 3 now and was only able to finish the tutorial last weekend...

some of the problems that twst is facing now (issues of pacing, translations, frequent typos, app just straight up not working, etc.) really reminds me of early day FGO...

well, if disney is able to get an anime out soon and aniplex manages not to break anything before then, it'll probably survive.

I think it’s because of the anime that they’re speeding up, I wouldn’t be surprised if we get caught up with JP before the anime drops.

Then again the actual main story releases have been coming at about the same intervals as the JP release, the main differences have been event placement, so I’m not sure yet. It will depend on how fast we get chapter 5.

I'm thinking of coming back to RP after a long break to try playing from this. How accepting are people if you want to play from only canon that's officially available in English? I'd be sticking to memes and PSLs rather than trying to app into a game.

Basically I just don't want to spoil myself for the future main story chapters; character vignettes for unreleased cards are fine.

In general people don't mind but you'll need to mention it in your comment if you want to be sure to avoid spoilers. Never had a problem at least in any canon I've played from.

Most people I’ve been playing with use the JP terms, but I’m guessing most people would be cool with EN only especially if you’re trying not to get spoiled. Personally I’ve been trying to avoid too many main story spoilers too and I haven’t had to play anything yet that crept into spoiler territory.

Also speaking for myself I’d rather see more people playing from this than less so I hope no one scares you off with spoilers!

As long as you note somewhere in your journal or profile (or in your comments themselves) that you're playing from EN, I'm pretty sure we'll all be happy to accommodate you! I will, at least. :) (of course I don't make a habit of instantly dropping huge spoilers just because the person I'm tagging didn't explicitly ask me not to, but less guesswork always makes things easier!)
