picked up a new character around memes and have been having a lot more fun with them than i expected

he doesn't get a huge amount of attention but i've got a handful of threads going and writing him feels so much more natural and easier than recent charas i've tried, it's so nice

i'm coming back after a decently long break from rp, and i already have a nice line-up of threads i'm excited about!!

made a new oc the other day and have gotten good cr with them already which surprised me because they were pretty niche. but it makes me happy that my threads are still going strong, even days later. and it feels nice to be this motivated for a character again.

Having a really good time tagging around with this new character!

i really love the game i'm in and everyone in it, nice to feel a part of something great again

Fell into playing a ship I kind of like with a very good writer on some memes, and once we started talking ooc, it turned out that they also ship my OTP and play the other half of it. So now we are playing BOTH ships.

new rp partner is playing my otp w me and they are just as crazy into our threads as i am.....it's been years since i stayed up all night to boomerang a thread and create multiple plotty aus and also i absolutely love their writing on top of it all... we stayed up so late just discussing our characters and our ideas... im so happy getting to create so much with such a like-minded creative partner in this hobby, rp really can be magical when you find that writing synergy.

Coming off a hiatus, I got tagged on my obscure character by someone from an old fave canon. I'm not sure about the thread's status, but even the couple tags I did get in just about wrote themselves and got me motivated to get going again.

Happened upon someone else from the older canon and now I have a really fun exploration thread bouncing along.

trying to get back into the hobby with my OC and was feeling a bit so-so about my bakerstreet engagement (on my tag-outs more than my toplevels, i know not to expect too much there). anyway, got off of work and checked my email to find a whole bunch of new replies. guess everyone was just busy the last 24-48 hours!

was a long ass day as well so i’m super looking forward to unwinding with these later :)

i just got a pm from an rp partner i'd lost touch with almost a year ago. i just woke up so i'm pretty incoherent, but i have so many things to tell them once my brain's firing on more of its cylinders. i'm just ecstatic, omg.

I love the game I'm currently in. It's so much fun and so stress-free, I'm wishing I'd made the jump between ::old game collecting mothballs:: and this sooner.

tried out a new character, and it instantly clicked -- the tags are writing themselves, i got a heap of threads that i'm vibing hard with, and i'm literally just giddy whenever another notif shows up my inbox. it's been a long long time since i felt this enthused about rp, so it's just really nice to experience this again.

listen! i was getting so discouraged by dropped threads, ignored replies to toplevels, etc but you know what

i just kept on trucking and now i have so many tags im excited to tag!! on bs of all places!

im sure things will still get dropped and ill be ignored again, but this bright moment is all the reason to keep trying. chin up and good luck out there, anons!

I was thinking just a while ago how I used to have a dedicated rp partner who would write shameless filth with me, and how sad I was when I realized I easily lost all that attention when they found their new shiny. No more shared fandoms, no more rl topics, no more shared secrets and anything I said felt dismissed. I am not friends with them anymore, but it did make me feel like everytime I got a dropped thread, that I was a terrible writer and a pretty pathetic person.

It's been more than a year since then and I realized I'm not as bad as I thought. I have a few friends I get dedicated play with, and even when we don't rp, we talk regularly about anything under the sun. I feel content without being overly dedicated, and I don't feel like I need to prove I'm interesting to keep staying friends. I guess I just feel happy that I have these people I can be content around, and that I can feel at ease and enjoy rping for the fun of it and not to keep the attention of anyone. It just feels nice.

have decided to feel good about being inspired, courageous attempts -- replied to or not, enthusiasm, & genuine joy. sometimes i feel i'm supposed to lessen myself and be more of an aloof personality type & make my approach aloof too, but why would i pretend to be something i'm not?

i just hope the people who've inspired me to stick to things whether they realize it or not have as much fun writing with me as i do them. i hope i'm never too much for them! y'all give my days, weeks, months a little more sunshine. especially on those days where i find myself in undeserved contemplations about whether i fit in or not, or if there's a place for me & the way i like to submerge into the writing & discussion when needed both. i hope hope hope i provide inspiration to the craft & enthusiasm too.

i'm just happy & thrilled to get to do this, & my appreciation is brimming over today for those who permit me that space & are willing to bounce off me as well.

i'm staying up late right now just for this one really good thread in the hopes they tag it again before i absolutely have to let myself pass the fuck out. having the good luck i've had finding wonderful people on memes the last few months feels illegal.

i hope you all get some good threads you are willing to ruin your sleep schedules for.
