This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. imo the problem with anon memes like that is it's too easy for people to blur ic/ooc and just hate on characters or give a hot take by pretending it's rp.

I’ve definitely been guilty of this. If I see one of my favorite characters on an anon meme, I tend to send in interesting prompts or questions from an OOC level that I know that none of my characters would ever ask. They’re not even in my character’s voice most of the time. But, knowing it’s anon, I feel like I can interact with a character I enjoy and give the writer a fun thread even if it’s not IC for anyone I play.

dk about anyone else but at least for me, im not putting so much effort into taking shit personally that i assume anyone who hits me up on an anon meme is secretly playing truth or dare with me ooc and i dont think theres anything wrong with doing this to begin with

im here to play, not put my tinfoil hat on and judge anons for the questions theyre giving me. so long as it makes for a neat thread i dont care

is this not how anon memes are supposed to work

i prefer things like the dare memes where you only really 'talk' to the character anonymously for one comment than memes where you carry out whole conversations, but (and this is without having really done anon memes in many months, mind) i've p much never seen an anon meme where you're being ic as the anon

same. fortanon is useful for stuff like that and to make anon top levels like in never have i ever.

i hate that a lot of memes i like (like roast me) are going onto fortanon to get entire threads with anons. i don't care about anons gimme characters

I think there's a difference between sending in prompts like on the truth or dare meme, and then the confession memes where people either OOCly use it to hate on your character or to just be horny in a creepy way at them.
