Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. I can certainly try! MH is one of those series that has a history of having a steep learning curve because of unwieldy menus and an often limiting multiplayer system, but thankfully, World and Rise are both pretty good entries in terms of helping new players get the hang of things. They've simplified the crafting significantly, have made a lot of quality of life changes for the better, and have a lot of in-game tutorials to guide new Hunters along.

That said, if you want a buddy to help you in hunts as you learn the ropes in either game on PC, hit me up. :>

(And alternatively, there are the turn-based RPG games in the Monster Hunter Stories series. MHS2 in particular is absolutely lovely, and you don't have to have played the first one to know what's going on. They're part JRPG, part Pokemon, and all gorgeous, and I cannot recommend them enough for folks who just kind of want to learn about the world, but aren't really interested in the action combat.)
