it blows my mind how rude and snobby la players can be. which isn't to say said snobbery doesn't happen in other mediums, it happens everywhere, but i swear they all think that every anime/manga character is like ash from pokemon while they huff their own mcu farts.

at this point i really just laugh at the lack of self-awareness. mcu is just live action anime. but snobby LA players are so convinced that enjoying any other medium other than live action means you aren't a mature adult with a big real imagination or something.

at least they're obvious to spot, to the point where it's embarrassing. sometimes i tag la characters and i'll never snub one if they tag me first, but i've since learned to save my energy for people who actually want to play with me and won't just ghost me on account of icons.

it's not just LA canons. I've seen this attitude play out from OC players with LA PBs as well.

I think a lot of people just find it easier to conceptualise a scene between two "real" people instead of one "real" person and one "non-real" person. the stigma of non-LA canons only attracting neckbeards doesn't help.

oc players with live action pbs are universally garbage as they almost always fall into one of two categories, generic urban fantasy "just like our world only DIFFERENT" shit or prettyboy modelfaces that have the personality of soggy cardboard. i'd literally rather tag an mcu.
