Specifying het instead of OTA makes me feel like a bad ally, even though it's this specific character that's straight and not my entire muselist.

dude i'm not sure if you've had too much internet or not enough, but you've definitely not had just the right amount of internet if the prospect of playing a straight character straight is causing you any anxiety

not for nothing, but there was a time on dw where i've seen morons sling around 'x is homophobic' because they played f or m characters as het instead of the preferred 'everyone's bi because dicks' formula. try playing popular white la dick straight and suddenly, no matter that you're irl queer yourself, you're 'part of the problem' and 'clearly homophobic'.

i don't agree, of course, but it's not like i don't see why someone might have a little trepidation.
