1. it wasn't properly discussed with the playerbase OOCly to fully explain the changes or make sure they were wanted. the poll leading up to it was about IC choice, not OOC choice.

2. forward dating logs/threads renders the shake up completely pointless. it's also going to make people who don't want to play with things they never OOCly signed up to play targets for wank.

3. the safe havens are earned rewards in the game. nowhere in the game info or the IC option that was presented for players to vote on did it state they were voting for mechanics that would take away their rewards. that was the option that didn't win the IC poll.

the poll was an ic choice with ooc influence allowed. don't lie just to win a dumb internet argument.

Wasn't there some other game a while ago where players voted on a major change to the premise, but the ramifications ended up being opposite from what people thought they were choosing, or something like that, and it also caused major drama?

that might have been Deerington? but there wasn't "major drama", some players were just confused about not getting the outcome they voted for (there was confusion over the language of "saving" vs "destroying" and when some characters voted to "destroy" big bad npcs, they actually ended up saving them)

this isn't "major drama" either, it's just a handful of infants throwing a tantrum because they failed to read an faq (+ one person with an ultra rare and sensitive trigger but that isn't their fault, and i don't think they're here shitstirring either)
