This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. no amount of NO BLANK TOPLEVELS is enough to get people not to do a blank top level. people here don't read, don't want to go through all the effort of writing a line/finding a pic, and just seem to sort of hope rp will happen to them rather than being something they actively attempt to do.

one time i saw someone point out that someone had posted "I'll play a beta" on a meme that said, all caps, NOT AN ALPHA/BETA/OMEGA MEME and people responded with "ugh you're such a snob you're so picky about rp ughhh" to the person suggesting maybe people should read the title of posts. we're at the point where takes like 'follow the directions' 'read the all-caps one-line long title' and 'do the absolute bare minimum to facilitate rp' are viewed as snobbery and being holier-than-thou. we're one step away from adopting tumblrisms and calling people ableist for expecting them to read post titles tbh.

You say this like it's unique to RP. I've found in general people suck at following basic directions. It's not even failing to read a manual, it can be as simple as a paragraph on a test that isn't even a trick question. People are just in too much of a hurry these days it seems to take the time to make sure they are doing something right.
