Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.

Getting back to writing was the biggest step I had to take! I was pretty much stuck in the ‘Love thinking but hate doing’ phase of roleplay then with how unsatisfied I was back then. It ended up with me stuck in this cycle of planning and failing to fall through and telling myself the NEXT plans will get done.

I learned to let go writing huge sprawling novel-length tags and let loose. Do short tags to keep something flowing and if a moment special then write a big tag. It helped me keep up momentum and stay engaged.

My biggest help was getting more hobbies or joining more fandoms. Roleplay was my Big Thing back then and ONLY my Big Thing. When I was listless and bored I panicked because I sunk so much time in it. Finding other things to be engaged with - zine applications, fandom gifting, discords, streams - helped ease the dependence. It let me see roleplay as a hobby again and not my only source of online entertainment.
