Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. I’m always up for more horror games because they’re my preferred type to play in. And in a school setting? I would like that a lot.

Will there be an age limit? Age min?

Will there be a cap due to the set up? Player/Cap/Character?

How will you incentivze players to engage in the plot if they try to play only the school aspect?

Horror and school are two of my favorites, so I'm excited about modding both together!

For an age limit, there won't be an upper limit and for a lower limit, probably any character 10 and under requires a suitability justification on their app that demonstrates enough independence to play in a horror setting without leaning on others for everything.

To start, the game will be capped at 30-40 players (though I would be very happy with around 20 active players) with the player/cast cap adjustable as the game progresses depending on how much I can handle, with max 2 characters per player. Due to how the game will be set up, I'm leaning towards rolling apps rather than set app months, so new characters arrive throughout the month instead of in a predictable once a month.

I'm hoping that the nature of the setting encourages players to engage with horror even if they lean towards SOL, because while there's classes and clubs and events, the resources aren't there for an idyllic school life. I don't expect (or necessarily want, from a mod workload standpoint) everybody to seek out plot, but plan to disperse plot information through both active interaction (eg investigating strange happenings around the school or trying to find a way through locked doors) and passive (eg a character shown to go to all their classes or consistently help out around the school might have an npc teacher approach them).
