i have this idea brewing for a game and i'm not sure if it would be better as a meme with some sort of extended continuation?

survival wilderness/post apocalypse type deal, player driven exploration so every month new locations could be unlocked based on character activity, such as "[character] explored [location] and found a secret passage to [new location]" which is now revealed on the map.

minimal ac, go at your own pace sort of sandbox map expansion is my original idea. there's a background story but the game would be setting focused not plot run, background npcs to help characters as needed but not as a focus of the game.

as a game: more structure, caps, apps and quality control, ac bonuses, mod approved player run plots, limited duplicate and crau friendly.

as a meme: meme like prompts including arrival, setting, current events to react to, no empty top levels (think like a tdm with no game, i guess). people can note in their top levels if they're duplicate or crau friendly, interact with whichever prompts they want, keep changes or use each meme to "reset" whatever happened on the last post. kind of like the old lj days, everything going back to normal once an event ended.

there'd be mod questions like most game tdms have and a mod contact for players to submit explored locations. every time the meme goes up (or every month) would be a new post with the updated map, setting changes or uncovered reveals.

is this an idea people might be interested in? if so i would love to hear which you'd prefer and what pros/cons matter to you while i work out the kinks.

This interests me a lot as a concept, but is there a way to make the best of both worlds with a sandbox community that gets linked on meme comms, maybe?

games are linked here to advertise, wouldn't it be weird to put a game on a meme comm?
