rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

I feel sorry for Bill-mun at this point. They've effectively had anoncomm fanfic written about their motivations for dropping.

So discuss Varian and Fern as their own issue. Are they problem players who are way too aggressive about inserting themselves into every plot? Maybe, I've met the type. But it's very weird of you guys to pull this other mun in and fabricate this scenario where they dropped because of Varian and Fern when this might not be what happened.

This happened to me several years ago. I dropped a game because I started a really stressful new job that took up a lot of my time, and by coincidence a castmade had apped in shortly before I dropped. A year later, anons went back and scrutinized my drop and speculated it was bc of that castmate, when it was totally unrelated. It was very uncomfortable for me to have all this drama invented wholesale by anons.

Varian and Fern might be assholes, but they can stand on their own two asshole feet. It's weird to drag a third party in.

Bill’s player said on Plurk that they were dropping because they couldn’t keep up with a big game. That’s it. That’s all.

Fern and Varian’s players have behaved awfully but that’s something else.

based on frustrations expressed elsewhere, the people saying its because the player's plot got taken over and torpedoed are not wrong, either. that shitty behavior contributed.

because they'd totally announce to their whole timeline if they were pissed about a plot being taken over and draw drama to themselves. they tagged me back on a thread literally the same day they dropped, and they were tagging really consistently fast before that too. their behavior leading up to their drop doesn't match what they said publicly, that's all I'm saying. It might not have been about Varian and Fern, but anons are not wrong that it was unusually abrupt and the timing right after the plot adds to the notion, but it is also true that people need to keep their conspiracies in check and not assume it's fact
