anons, how many of you came back from long hiatuses from RP during quarantine? i did and it's surprising to me how many others i've seen express that in the past few weeks

i'm really smad because i have more "free time" (i am still employed, and grateful) than i ever have but there's no rp mojo left in me at all between corona and the civil unrest in the us

all i want to do is sleep and play animal crossing and hope this miserable year passes faster

for me it was the opposite. i chose to leave when quarantine began because keeping up with my plurk list would become emotionally exhausting, and i haven't been that invested in rp lately to justify staying.

it actually did wonders for my mental health as I found discord rp groups and made new friends. once civil unrest hit, tho, i couldn't avoid even that.

i KINDA did. i was already planning to, i just needed the time to sit down, do a canon review and set up the journal, read around new comms, etc. tags i could do from my phone on my commute to work so i wasn't worried about being active, i didn't need quarantine for it, but the rest i wanted to have a free, calm afternoon for. so quarantine speeded up that process.

I've tagged on and off in memes but it's been at least four years since I've joined a full time game. I'm apping in two places now because I'm working from home atm and having tags to do throughout the day helps motivate me to do the more mind numbing aspects of my job.

I did! I haven’t played anywhere in six years for a variety of reasons, but I finally got bored and restless enough to get the urge last month. It’s been pretty fun so far, and it’s given me something to look forward to every day. I’m finally going back to work this week, so we’ll see how I do time wise, but I really hope I can keep up a good balance...
