Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

just out of curiosity, are you more likely to tag/tag back an oc on an easy, low commitment texting meme? or does it not matter either way?

i think in general the days of frothing of hatred are over, so oc or not your chances are probably about the same

No, just the opposite, unless I've already have played against that OC. For me, it's much easier to think about things to text if there's previous CR.

i usually tag characters i already know, so with ocs, it depends entirely on if i find their premise/character info interesting enough to spark ideas

once that hurdle's been crossed, then i'd say it's about the same

if an oc tags me on a texting meme, i'll tag back, but i won't tag out to them unless i know the player.

generally speaking, i have no interest in playing with ocs. too many bad apples ruined the bushel for me. that being said, my favorite character/cr in the game i'm in is an oc. so if you play a good one (well developed, obviously not a self-insert or a mouthpiece for your beliefs, in no way related to a canon character, etc) even people who dislike them can come around.

definitely yes, for me! i find it's a better way to test the waters than jumping blindly into a full scene
