Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

you do realize that it's possible to notice someone tagging without assuming that it means they're not interested in you anymore, right? and there's a difference between being sad about having an empty inbox and fretting over one specific person who hasn't tagged back in "a few days."

op asked what they should do and the best thing they can do is to step away and focus on things that are making them happy. sorry if that bothers you.

i have a thread that i genuinely love, i just can't tag it every day because it's emotionally heavy and sometimes i'm not in the right mood to write that kind of thing. not tagging it for a few days doesn't mean that i'm not interested in the thread. it doesn't mean that i don't like my rp partner. all it means is that sometimes i'm not feeling that particular thread that day.

anyone who thinks that someone not tagging their specific thread back for a day or two is somehow a personal slight against them needs to take a serious step back and chill.

i agree with a lot of this.

but i also think that if someone is consistently putting you at the bottom of their tag priority for whatever reason, while being quick to tag back everybody else, it's understandable if you start taking it personally.

there's someone i know who "loves our thread and writing with me" and yet it consistently takes them 2+ weeks to tag me back, while tagging back everyone else faster. our thread always seems to be last and after months of being on the backburner, i'm ready to drop to it. you can only be told how much people love playing with you while they emphatically don't actually play with you before you stop believing it and move on.

sure, but there's a pretty big difference between consistently taking over two weeks to tag back and taking just a few days in between tags like op said. for a lot of people, tagging a thread every few days is a perfectly normal tagging speed, especially given the current state of the world. op said they'd been tagging quickly before and have slowed down a bit, which means it's most likely just a simple matter of outside influences.

it doesn't sound like they're ignoring op at all, just that they're not tagging as fast as op would like. that's why i'm saying op needs to step back and chill.
