This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

tbf YOU might be nice and take the hint well, but I've done that a few times and the other person flipped out at me for turning them down, even if they offered the out, and talked shit about how i didn't want to rp with them. and not just one person. several persons have done this. could be people have the same experience.

of course when people aren't direct it's annoying as hell, but at the same time, i've had multiple people tell me they're "fine with rejection" only to turn into a passive-aggressive mess at me when i turned them down. these are the same types who claim they're okay with concrit but flip out if you give it to them. lots of us are cautious.

i find the people who are loudest about being SO FINE WITH REJECTION JUST TALK TO ME!!1!! are the worst about it

it's like if they shout about how "good" they are about rejection more and louder it's more believable, even if it's not true

a lot of have been burned and it feels like, over time, dwrp has pushed away sane, calm people and curated the I'M FINE I'M SO FINE I'M SO NICE!!! type of crowd

i agree on the last part. i've rped elsewhere and i just wish the lax ooc nature of other places also meant more quality rp, since we apparently can't have a place with both nice, chill people overall + good writing quality

dwrp has so many longstanding grudges and general bitterness from the small crowd who still plays in games, it feels like. i only play with my friends now but i miss reaching out to others
