Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

best way to describe it was 'aggressively watched and nitpicked'.

- every time i tried to plot with a canonmate or crmate for a game we were both in, the other player would barging in: always made comments about how they would do it with shared character, actively try to rope the players in psls in my plurks so they could see how shared character 'should be'.

- they made lots of 'wow are you SURE you want shared character to do that? that doesn't sound like them AT ALL. just saying!!!' comments in my monthly pwe plurks.

- i tried to ask them if there was a problem. they always deflected going nooooo its cool bb. rinse and repeat every week and month though.

- they left a lot of 'hey got questions for why you made shared character do this its ooc and you should feel bad' do this in my hmd. they did it under socks and anon but i had ip on so i knew it was them.

mod tried to help but this was a small, plot heavy game so he had a lot on his plate. it got to the point i was too stressed playing shared character and dropped. next app cycle they tried to app in asap, making plans with all my crosscanon cr. they legit told someone 'i promise to do shared character REAL JUSTICE here lmao' in a pm they sent to a crmate.

I can't imagine being so blatantly childish like this person was to you.

Sorry that happened to you, anon :( similar situation except we both wanted to app shared character to the same game. Cue them making snide nitpicky comments about my playing and just being generally overbearing and aggressive in public, on my hmd, and on anoncomms. It definitely put a damper on my excitement and I'm grateful I had friends in the game who still encouraged me to go for it, or I might have been completely put off trying to app.

Which, I guess, was the whole point of the way they acted.

just imagine how sad and basically nonexistent this person's irl is to be this nitpicky over a fictional character. i'm sure they had next to nothing going on and were desperately trying to find something to give them purpose, which, pathetically, amounted to turning into a highlander over a character they didn't make.

sorry you had to deal with that anon, it can ruin your drive to play a character.
