I play a guy from an anime. Said guy is in his 40s. All of the potential canon ships for him are abusive, involve people who have betrayed him, or have a huge age gap (most of the main cast is in their early-20s).

I just want to play a hardass being soft for someone, but the only real option that won't get people on my case is to go with cross-canon ships.

Fukuzawa from Bungo Stray Dogs. He has a past with Mori, but Mori is a literal pedophile and a terrible person in general. There's also [recent canon spoilers] but canon shit all over that possibility this month.

Everyone else is literally 20 years younger than him. Not that the huge age gap is a problem for me, but it's definitely not a favorite of most people.

i'm genuinely surprised that shipping fukuzawa with the younger characters is something people have an issue with. i figured he was the type of character that people would be all over.

It's mostly antis who make noise about it. Apparently Fukuzawa is supposed to just be 'the dad' and not have any other point besides that.

Hi anon, I love pretty much every ship with Fukuzawa and play a good chunk of the cast. Are there any ships in particular you'd wanna play? I'd be down for a meme sometime!

Aww, thanks anon! My only real 'nos' are Fukuzawa/Ranpo (just a personal preference here, I see them more as father/son than as a couple) or ships involving Kyouka or Kenji (because they very bitty). That said, I'm cool with family-flavored stuff involving any of those three too! But for shipping, I do like Fukuzawa/Kunikida or Fukuzawa/Dazai quite a bit. Also Fukuzawa/Kouyou is something I would like to try, I feel like they have the right personalities and aesthetic for a 'star-crossed lovers' kind of deal.

And as I said above, cross-canon is great too.

I've never considered Fukuzawa/Kouyou before, but thinking about it, they'd be a pretty interesting ship! Shoot me a PM here and let's work something out!
